Summary:

THE TRUE CHURCH'S FINEST HOUR! In America today, we are living through the spiritual, social, moral, philosophical, economic, political and personal shifts that have brought down mighty empires and nations in the past. The pseudo change agents behind the shifts are working tirelessly in our society and culture to bring down America. Many believe the church [Christ's earthly representative] is facing its darkest hour. However, church history has proven from ancient times what is considered the darkest hour for the church has proven to be the true church's finest hour. The good news is the nerve-wracking uncertainties of our postmodern people, their philosophers and false teachers about the future are being countered by the strong certainties of the God of Creation in the body of truth that He left us - the true Gospel of Jesus Christ found the volume of the Book. In the Bible we discover answers to troubling questions through solid unchanging biblical truth that can be applied to bring stability to us and our institutions. We are promised in Daniel 11:32, "But the people who know their GOD shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." The impact of the true church of God is revealed through: * The prayers of the saints going up before God (see Revelation 5:8). * The followers of Christ are a royal priesthood (see 1 Peter 2:4-5). * The followers of Christ standing in the full armor of God, as the day of evil approaches (see Ephesians 6:10, 11, 13-18). In spite of media bias, Hollywood stereotypes, Spiritless professors and the atheistic attempt toward secularization of the world - the true Church of God victoriously marches onward and upward expanding the Kingdom of God. Narrow is the way!

Summary:

It is 1209, and the Albigensian Crusade looms. Bernard, son of a Frankish Knight Templar sets out on the long pilgrimage from Rome to Santiago de Compostla. But in the Languedoc, events, including his priestly patron's convoluted heretic-hunting schemes, cause a delay. He becomes involved with the Countess and her niece at their castle, and even more so with a local Cathar family in whose home his patron has billeted him. The Cathar 'heresy' is shrouded in obscurity, thanks to the almost total destruction of its literature and the relentless extermination of its preachers, both during the Crusade and, later in the century, by the Papal Inquisition. The resulting dearth of reliable facts about the Cathars' belief system, combined with much vilification down through the centuries, has led to speculation and controversy, even among scholars. Yet it is generally accepted that Cathar Christianity is part of the complex stream of Christian Gnosticism, reaching back to the days of the early Christians. The author has placed his Cathar characters within this historical context. The human story moves through a landscape overshadowed by forebodings of the calamity about to be unleashed upon the hapless French - or rather Occitan - Midi.

Summary:

Christianity has come to a point where the culture outside the Church has been allowed to have an influence on how we think and act and react inside the Church. Now, this certainly does not apply to all Christians but it does to far too many. We live in a country which is divided by our views on politics, abortion, the Gay lifestyle, gender transitions and a lot of other views we always seem to disagree on. Disagreement is alright if we are able to acknowledge the other person's view and not attempt to beat them down and kick them into a corner. In this book, I simply want to lay out the different views which lie within the Church (and I use this term broadly). There are parts of the Church which have views that mirror that of the world and our culture. These groups, denominations and local churches have appeared to allow the culture of our day, in this world, to come right into the Church and have its way and influence on them. I simply want to look into some of these issues of our time and see what God's word says about them.God's word tells us in MT 7:13-14 that there are two paths which lead us to God's Kingdom; there is a narrow gate which is the only right way and there is a wide gate which leads to destruction or hell. How many people will win the arguments but end up on the wide path?

Summary:

How Safe Is Your Soul? will help you know and understand that our greatest purpose in this life is to answer the calling of God to be like Him. Be holy and be perfect for God is. Nobody is perfect is a deceitful cliche and a pathetic excuse discouraging many not to respond to this glorious calling to become God in God. Wide indeed is the path to perdition because of our diminishing desire to become a saint. Narrow is the way to God and heaven because many have their own priority and personal agenda contrarious to God’s. This book is for everyone reminding us that we have a greater purpose more than our own. The SOS MIssionaries is inviting you to join us in the mission of serving and saving souls. We have a formation program suited for everyone who desire to participate in the mission of the church saving all souls.

Summary:

The novel probes the complexities and terrors of adolescence and growing up. Based on a Freudian interpretation, the story uses the influences of childhood experience and the misunderstandings that can arise between two people. Strait is the Gate taps the unassuaged memory of Gide's unsuccessful wooing of his cousin between 1888 and 1891. Much of the story is written as an epistolary novel between the protagonist Jerome and his love Alissa. Much of the end of the novel is taken up by an exploration into Alissa's journal that details most of the events of the novel from her perspective. The story is set in a French north coast town. Jerome and Alissa, cousins, as 10-11-year olds make an implicit commitment of undying affection for each other. However, in reaction to her mother's infidelities and from an intense religious impression, Alissa develops a rejection of human love. Nevertheless, she is happy to enjoy Jerome's intellectual discussions and keeps him hanging on to her affection. Jerome thereby fails to recognise the real love of Alissa's sister Juliette who ends up making a fairly unsatisfactory marriage with M. Tessiere as a sacrifice to her sister Alissa's love for Jerome. Jerome believes he has a commitment of marriage from Alissa, but she gradually withdraws into greater religious intensity, rejects Jerome and refuses to see him for longer and longer stretches of time. Eventually she dies in Paris from an unknown malady which is almost self-imposed. The ending of the novel occurs ten years after Alissa's death with the meeting of Jerome and Juliette. Juliette seems content to have a happy life with five children and a husband, but their conversation together in a room that resembles Alissa's concerns whether or not one can hold onto a love that is unrequited; as Jerome still loves Alissa, so it would seem that Juliette still loves Jerome, though both loves are equally as impossible.

Summary:

Our Book called The Narrow Path Of God is basically about teaching people the authentic gospel of Jesus Christ and explaining to people what it really feels like to walk this narrow path with Jesus because a lot of people have their own perception about what Christianity is and what it's about. Some people think that Christianity is about prosperity and blessings, some believe that Christianity is about going to church every Sunday and throughout the rest of the week they can live how they want to live, but the true disciples of Christ really knows the true definition of being a Christian. It's not about the benefits and the blessings, it's not about seeing how far you can get away with sin and still be in the Lord, it's not about being apart of a Christian organization and calling yourself a Christian because you have a title in the church it's about enduring till the end, denying yourself, and truly submitting to God's purpose for your life. Matthew 24:13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Luke 9:23 "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." Hope you guys enjoy this book God Bless

Summary:

Synopsis: Deciding to walk away from God did not come easily or quickly for Lin Wilder. Nor did the decision to return. As she explains: Exactly how much of my personal life should be included in this book has been a tough decision to make. This is, after all, the story of a conversion, not an autobiography. Many of my choices, judgments, and their consequences remain painful, even humiliating to revisit, writing them down, even more so. Initially, I questioned the relevance of describing elements of my career, education and relationships with men- in short, my pre-Catholic world in detail. Since I did not convert until midlife, there are a lot of territories to cover. But I realize that my use of the term 'lost years' makes no sense unless I place them squarely in the context of the person I was then. Without the details of my early life, unpleasant as they are to recall, much less write, this sense of drifting and of aimlessness are merely words which lack substance. They are unidimensional. In talks to church groups about life with and without my faith, I frequently used 'ground' while I stomped the floor I stood on, forcefully, as I worked to convey what is gained and lost with and without faith. Faith and all which accompanies religion like regular church attendance and a belief that there is something greater here, someone present, informs our decisions and choices, even our goals. Just so, its absence widens all boundaries. More and more is acceptable. This, at times, brutally honest story of the reasons for Wilder's walk away from God, then years later, return, cannot fail to provoke and challenge. Her decision to reveal intimate and painful details of the life lived during the years she refers to as 'lost' will cause even the most devoutly faithful reader to take a peek at the shadows of the self we hide from the world and from ourselves. Critique: An exceptionally candid account that is impressively well written, organized and presented, "Finding the Narrow Path: Patterns, Faith and Searching" is an inherently fascinating and consistently compelling account that is as informative and thoughtful as it is insightful and ultimately inspiring. While very highly recommended for Christian Studies reading lists, it should be noted that "Finding the Narrow Path" is also available in a Kindle format ($6.99). midwestbookreview.com/sbw/dec_16.htm#ChristianStudies

Summary:

Jesus Warned that there were only two roads in life. One was the wide road and the other was the narrow road. He taught that the wide road led to hell and the narrow road led to heaven. He also warned that taught most people were travelling in the wide road and would spend eternity in hell when they died. That's why we work so hard to share the Gospel with as many people a possible. We want to persuade them to leave that wide road to hell and get on that narrow road that leads to life. Consider What Jesus Said (Matthew 7:13) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (Matthew 7:14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. This means that many people are going to hell, but they don't know it. There is more to being saved than believing in God, being baptized, or merely thinking one is going to heaven. This book is written to help the reader leave that wide road and get on that narrow road so they can know for certain that they will go to heaven when they die
